"I didn't really have an idea if I was going for the championship or not at the start of this year," said Heather Bartlett. "But things fell into place and I am grateful for the opportunity my family gave me and here we are back on the front stretch." Bartlett might of finished the final main event of the year in second, but it was good enough for the track championship. The win went to Phil Marino, his fourth of the year. "I said a little prayer before the race that I could win tonight," said Marino. "There was some good competition here tonight and I am just excited to have won this race." Marino congratulated Bartlett on her second title and had thoughts about next year. "I just hope we can keep this strong field of cars together again for next year. It is really fun racign against all this close competition."
Bartlett finished in the second spot. Following her was Scott Rogers. It was a great battle all year long between Rogers and Bartlett. I was happy to see Scott win last week. He is a former champion and all around good guy. Corey Hall ran a solid race to finish in the fourth spot.
Brent Lawrence made a few starts this year and looks to be a solid contender in 2011. Marino and Rogers each won their heat race. A strong field of 16 cars started the 20-lap main event.
