CHICO, CA (8-30-17) -Â The 2016 Gold Cup Race of Champions winner, Rico Abreu, is not only returning to defend his Saturday night victory, but trying to sweep the week's racing action. Abreu has announced that he is competing in all four nights of this year's Gold Cup action led by the Wednesday night, September 6th, Civil War show. Abreu is detaching the wing for Thursday's USAC show and of course competing in both nights of World of Outlaw racing on Friday and Saturday. "I think we are up for the challenge," said Abreu. "I have always enjoyed racing Chico and am looking forward to seeing all the fans throughout the four nights of racing."
