Take Two: Silver Cup This Weekend at Chico

Chico, CA (March 6, 2018) …. The show must go on. After postponing the Silver Cup this past weekend, promoter Dennis Gage rescheduled the long standing traditional race for this Friday, March 9th, and Saturday, March 10th. With a promising forecast and plenty of eager race teams, this weekend’s Silver Cup is set to go.
The Silver Dollar Speedway will now host the Silver Cup Race of Champions event Friday, March 9th and Saturday night, March 10th. Each night fans will get to see some of the best winged 360 sprint car, wingless and Dwarf Car drivers from all over the Western United States. Camping will be available at the fairgrounds for both nights of racing.
Big money is on the line for the winged sprint cars. Friday nights winner will receive $2,000, while Saturday nights race winner will collect $3500. On Saturday night the Hunt Wingless Series will invade Chico for round number two of their popular traveling series. The Dwarf Cars will bring their traditional side-by-side, well organized style of racing to both nights of the program.
The pit gate for the competitors is scheduled to open at 2 PM each day. All PIT PASSES just $40 for the weekend. Grandstand gate opens at 5 PM each night. Racing is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM. Adult admission on Friday night is $18.00, juniors and seniors $15.00, children $6.00 and kids 5 and under are free. On Saturday night the adult admission is $22.00, juniors and seniors $18.00 and children are $6.00.
If fans had already purchased tickets for the Silver Cup, please hang on to them and they will be accepted at the front gate.
